Celebrating 20 Years of Responsible Community Engagement

University of Pennsylvania
Civic House

Communications Specialist

At the University of Pennsylvania's Civic House, I spearheaded the digital and print communications for the organization's 20th anniversary, a campaign designed to honor two decades of responsible, community-informed student service. My role involved leading the social media content planning and development, crafting compelling visual and written storytelling for alumni newsletters, website, and for print collateral. I was responsible for interviewing and writing student and alumni spotlights that celebrated their contributions and reinforced the organization's enduring commitment to community engagement. Copywriting was central to this effort, which was produced consistent with the organization’s brand voice and target audience ideals.

Throughout the campaign,
I ensured strong adherence to brand guidelines across social media, website, and email marketing.
Additionally, retro collegiate branded crew neck sweaters, beanies, and t-shirts in commemoration of the milestone year were produced.

In addition to managing the commemorative campaign, I was responsible for key aspects of event branding design and programming. I collaborated with internal teams to create a cohesive and celebratory experience that reflected the organization's legacy through an anniversary brunch, open houses, formal reception ceremony, and alumni meet ups. This project highlighted my ability to manage a comprehensive communications strategy, seamlessly integrating event planning and brand consistency to create a powerful, cohesive, and memorable campaign.
