Celebrating 40 Years of Women in Natural Sciences
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
Creative Consultant x Photographer
For the 40th anniversary of the Women In Natural Sciences (WINS) program at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, I was commissioned to produce a series of commemorative portrait photographs. My role spanned the full creative process, from creative direction and set design to the photography and editing of each final image. I was responsible for capturing the stories and achievements of both alumnae and current students, producing a cohesive collection of about 15 distinct portraits that celebrated the legacy and impact of this pioneering program.
The final collection of images was a key component of the WINS 40th-anniversary celebration. The portraits were featured in a special pop-up exhibition within the Academy’s Spotlight Gallery, where they formed an engaging and immersive narrative. Presented alongside stories narrated by WINS alumni and students themselves, my work served to visually document and honor a program that has empowered generations of young women in the natural sciences. The exhibition's success highlighted my ability to not only create compelling imagery but also to contribute to a larger, meaningful storytelling initiative.
