MEET THE FOUNDER

Kerrin A. Lyons is an artist, communications strategist, and sister/daughter/niece/mother of Philadelphia.

For more than a decade, she has worked across the nonprofit, arts & culture, and education helping organizations and individuals tell their stories in digital and in real life spaces to build genuine connections within their communities.

A skilled visual communicator and decisive creative director, Kerrin is fueled by a vision to see Black women represented with communications that are just as clever and dynamic as they are to help them engage their communities in meaningful ways. Kerrin understands that Black women are the keys to community, family, and generational developmental and wants The Lab to protect their image at all costs.

A Germantown resident, Kerrin founded She Get Free Creative Lab to create greater visibility, opportunity, and support for women of color who are building businesses, projects, and movements that strengthen their communities.
